The snow fell rather rapidly on Friday night and it could only mean one thing, I was to be up on the peaks with the camera and wrapped up as snug as a bug in layers of merino wool, Blue Montane Prism jacket and my Rab Latok jacket which have served me well over the years. Feet snug in Bridgdale wool and my awesome Scarpa boots while the head was insulated with my trusty beanie.
Being so well insulated from the cold, it meant I could hang around in a favourite spot of mine waiting for the clouds to break and for the sunlight to dance across the hills and valley before getting into shooting. I was rather restrained in the number of shots, but also I had to contend at times with the local sheep crowding me as I too nestled up against the dry stone walls for a slight rest bite from the wind and to enjoy some liquorice and peppermint tea from Pukka. MMMM…..now really warm as toast..
