A dramatic stormy sky, becomes a good back drop for the Wind Turbines perched up on the moors. I had aimed to be here earlier in the morning but it was my first visit to these turbines and my gps let me down, so I had to resort to good old map reading and intuition, but at least I know the route for any subsequent visits. My aim was to capture the essence of the wind turbines and the driving wind. It was such an exhilarating time up on the Moors holding on for dear life to the camera and tripod as I worked hard to wipe the lens, eyes and face; but then I would not have it any other way. My back was often exposed to the elements as I leaned forwards trying for different angles of shot and with the rain running down the inside of rain sodden Mountain Equipment hiking trousers……I must have been mad…but I was just enjoying every moment (well not all of it lol!). At least I knew that when I found some rest bite from the wind I could enjoy my flask of ground french coffee from Waitrose and a homemade bread roll.
