what’s happening there with the extra-high tides? my friends just sent an email, ‘it’s devastating.’ i’m so worried about them. 2 in the morning here in ecuador…

It is pretty frightening at times as the coast is being eroded at a great rate of knots, the cliffs are collapsing as well as the vast swathes of land that is being flooded again and again due to the over high water table.
I do hope your friends are safe. Best regards, james

The processing makes great sense here, since the waves are somewhat harsh and heavy. Nice job!

I does look like you are about to get soaked. Hopefully not as bad as it looks like. It’s a great image and I really love the way the foam rolls over the rocks. It’s almost like a live animal crawling up ashore. Captured with just the perfect shutter speed. Great work, James, and I am glad I finally found time to revisit your blog.

Fortunately Otto I just managed to grab the camera and tripod without too much of a soaking. Save the camera is always more important, clothes and myself can be washed. Once again a huge thanks for you wonderful comment and continued interest in my wormy. Best regards, james
