I keep saying “wow” about your photos but this gets a double, triple wow! It has such a wonderful sci-fi look to it, the soft gentle hues with the stark black ruins. A most stunning scene!

It’s interesting what draws the eye; I find that I am studying the varying colors of the pebbles in the foreground instead of the large structure Fantastic light! Hope you’re doing well, James!

Thanks so much for the ell wishes Melanie and I am always amazed how different aspects of my work can draw ones attention. It is such an encouragement to continue with my passion for photography as at times the creativity mojo can be lacking. Hope you have a wonderful week.

I love the old West Pier. It takes on different levels of spookiness depending on the day, the light, and the season…

What a great image,James… is this all what’s left of the famous pier?

Many many thanks Geert and yes this is the last of the once magnificent West Pier from 1866 that burned to the ground in March 2003. Now they are looking to build some skyscraper of a monstrosity close to this site.
